We hope this message finds you well. Our apologies for an additional update this week, but we wanted to share additional information we feel will help families prepare for the next month and beyond. Like our students, we are slowly adjusting to being back at school.
We are currently scheduled to MAP Test on the following days:
- January 23, 2019
- January 29, 2019
Please help your student by encouraging them to get a good night sleep and a solid breakfast on these days. If your student plans to be absent, please let us know.
Please make sure your student has a way to listen to videos on a computer. Many students have lost/misplaced/or broken what they began the year with. There is no need for wireless headphones or to spend a lot of money. Any earbuds/headphones will work.
Chaperones for Camp Hanes:
We have received several inquiries about chaperone spaces for our Camp Hanes field trip. If you are interested in being a chaperone, please let us know. If you have emailed us already, we have you on a list. Once we confirm sleeping arrangements and chaperone needs, we will reach out to parents who have expressed interest.
We will continue to visit the library on a regular basis. Please encourage your student to check out book of interest and bring them in on Wednesdays to return them. Tomorrow is Wednesday, we will be going to the library!
February/Winter Student Portfolio Presentations:
Please mark your calendar for February 15, 2019. The day is a scheduled early release/student conference day. In two, one hour blocks, students will present their portfolio to their parent(s). We will send out a Sign Up Genius in the next few weeks with available slots. Slots will be either 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm or 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm. Once your student has presented their portfolio, he/she is free to go. The presentation should last about 15-20 minutes.
