Weekly Updates for 5th Grade and a Thanks from Tom

Dear 5th Grade Families:
We hope this message finds you well. We had a wonderful week, which began with a massive surprise, organized and executed to perfection, from the entire 5th grade community. Sandra and I would like to thank everyone for your overwhelming support and love as we anticipate the birth of our son. Your generosity and kindness are greatly appreciated. As your students will attest, I literally was speechless and in tears. We could not be more thankful to be part of such a loving and caring community of people. We are so, so thankful for all the well wishes, gifts, books, and support we have received. Our son will likely join the world in the next two weeks, and we will be sure to share updates as soon as we are able. Again, a heartfelt thanks to everyone! What a humbling experience to receive such an outpouring of love and encouragement! Thank you!

Please see our updates for information about next week, year end conferences, and MAP testing. Please note there is no school Monday in observance of Eid al-Fitr. We have also added a flex day to coincide with this holiday. This means we will see everyone Wednesday morning. We hope all families enjoy this extended weekend before our final push to the end of the year.

All the best,

Team 5
